Training and skills are a critical part of the transition to Net Zero. SWITCH has a mission to identify, plan, resource and deliver a dynamic education, skills and training regime designed to support the growth of sustainable industries in Wales. It will power a future-skills revolution, starting in schools, leading up through further and higher education and into the workplaces of the future. It will also support existing technical and trade workers to transition to changing industries. SWITCH is uniquely positioned to do this through its three university collaborators, with the infrastructure to deliver school outreach, work-based learning, and graduate and postgraduate level qualifications. SWITCH will promote lifelong learning and opportunities for everyone in society as Wales looks to ensure a fair transition to new ways of working and living.
